Historically at the top edge of the poster there was a show times snipe which had been removed by the time we acquired this poster and this left a piece of the original paper being lost at the top right corner - we have replaced this with similar paper from the era and used conservation tape to secure it at the reverse

Hugely successful and winning 7 Oscars including 'Best Picture'. This film was a triumph and here we have the pair with money to burn. Having won 'Best Picture' in 1973 "The Sting" was still a force to be reckoned with in 1977 which is the date of this cinema re release film
