Description

At the top left is a delicious portrait of Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman with the same purple lilac colour of the title

Freddie Francis directed this 1973 Portmanteau horror film comprising four horror stories and starring Kim Novak

Historically at the top edge of the poster there was a show times snipe which had been removed by the time we acquired this poster and this left a piece of the original paper being lost at the top right corner - we have replaced this with similar paper from the era and used conservation tape to secure it at the reverse

Notice the train grabbing your attention at first gradually taking the shape of a gun with a finger on the trigger

The Sting David Webb Peoples (screenplay) At the top left isFollowing their success in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" Paul Newman and Robert Redford return with the same Director George Roy Hill to play two con men set in the 1930's. Hugely successful and winning 7 Oscars including 'Best Picture'. This film was a triumph and here we have the pair with money to burn. Having won 'Best Picture' in 1973 "The Sting" was still a force to be reckoned with in 1977 which is the date of this cinema re release film
